Cardinal sets itself ahead of competitors by offering unparalleled customer service. We attribute our high customer service levels to the safe and professional operators and drivers who choose to be a part of our team. And their efforts have definitely paid off in 2014. Cardinal has been recognized by multiple customers and research groups this year.
In January, CHEP USA, one of Cardinal’s long-term and valued customers, and the world’s leading provider of pallet and container pooling solutions, recognized us for Excellent Service and awarded us the “Dedicated Fleet of the Year” award.
In March, Cardinal was recognized again for excellent service and named “Carrier of the Year” by United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI). The award criteria included measured metrics in on-time performance, product temperature integrity and fuel saving initiatives. This amazing accomplishment emphasizes the hard work and outstanding customer service our drivers provide to our customers and to theirs. Our drivers are truly the “face” of Cardinal – the first impression we give to our customers, and in the case of UNFI they have left a lasting great impression!
April brought more praise for Cardinal customer service when another of our valued customers, a national home retailer, found Cardinal’s Puerto Rico operation in the top spot for their annual “Voice of the Customer Survey!” Cardinal’s Puerto Rico team’s performance speaks for itself. This team continues to raise the bar, and we all benefit from an overall increased customer survey average!
We were next recognized in July as one of Inbound Logistics’ Top 75 Green Supply Chain Partners. This marks Cardinal’s fourth consecutive year on the list. Inbound Logistics‘ 75 Green Supply Chain Partners highlights sustainability leaders in the logistics and transportation sector. Cardinal’s sustainability plan would be just a plan on paper without the cooperation of our drivers who promote the programs and ensure our sustainability every day.
August saw Cardinal recognized again by Inbound Logistics magazine as one of the nation’s Top 100 3PL Providers. This marks the 14th consecutive year that Cardinal has received this prestigious recognition. Inbound Logistics’ Top 100 3PL Providers list serves as a qualitative assessment of service providers who are best equipped to meet and surpass readers’ evolving logistics needs.
Also in August, Cardinal was ranked as one of the Top 250 For-Hire Carriers by the Commercial Carrier Journal. CCJ has ranked the top for-hire trucking companies since the late 1960s and their Top 250 is the most comprehensive ranking of active carriers. The ranking takes into account not only the revenues posted by a trucking company but also its fleet size and employment base.
Later in August, Cardinal was selected as a “Quest for Quality Award” recipient for the second year in a row by Peerless Research Group and Logistics Management magazine. For 31 years, Logistics Management has surveyed its readers, asking them to evaluate the transportation service providers that they do business with. Most recently, Cardinal received more recognition from its national home retailer customer as the 2014 Dedicated (Store Delivery) Partner of the Year!
Cardinal was recognized as one of Food Logistics’ Top 100 3PL & Cold Storage Providers for the fifth consecutive year in September. The Top 100 3PL & Cold Storage Providers list serves as a resource directory of third-party logistics and cold storage providers whose products and services are critical for companies in the food and beverage supply chain, from food growers, producers and manufacturers to retail grocers, convenience markets and others.
Also in September, we received our second award in 2014 from a major US home retailer and also one of our valued customers. Cardinal was awarded “Dedicated Store Delivery Partner of the Year.” Cardinal works with our customer in markets across the U.S. to create the high service levels that their customers have come to expect. .
In December, Food Logistics, the only publication dedicated exclusively to the global food and beverage supply chain, recognized Cardinal as a member of their FL100+, a comprehensive list of software solution providers, whose efforts are lowering operating costs, improving productivity and enhancing customer experience.
Every day, Cardinal operates multiple dedicated fleets across the country thanks to our drivers who do an incredible job of providing service to customers across the U.S., even when huge spikes in volume occur. Cardinal drivers understand our customer’s requirements and do an outstanding job of serving them. They keep the wheels turning, take care of our customers and do it all in a safe and professional manner.
