Like the definition implies, Cardinal plays a vital role in moving products along its customers’ supply chains. Cardinal is the company you can trust to perform because our people will simply outwork and outthink everyone else in the business – every time.
From the Nest
Cardinal’s story began when Chairman Vin McLoughlin and CEO Tom Hostetler recognized the need for a third-party logistics company focused on dedicated contract carriage. With the goal of providing customers the best resources and flexibility to efficiently manage their supply chains, they assembled a team of logistics experts and formed Cardinal Logistics Management, a privately-held corporation, in July 1997 in Concord, NC.
Cardinal has transformed into a sophisticated logistics partner whose customer base and service offerings have expanded to include construction and building materials, retail, JIT manufacturing support, recycling, food and beverage, bulk transport, and Software as a Service (SaaS). With more than 1,900 drivers and staff, and operations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, Cardinal is a respected integrated logistics and transportation provider.
Birds of a Feather Flock Together, but not the Cardinal
We set ourselves apart from other third-party logistics providers in the dedicated segment by maintaining our core values of flexibility, customer service and Best in Class technology. After 14 years, Cardinal is still the same company of hard-working, creative experts that Vin and Tom brought together in the beginning.
As Cardinal stands poised for further growth, it is apparent the company is not only an exceptional place to work, but also an exceptional company with which to partner.
