Cardinal Logistics Management Corporation Announces Executive Promotions and New Hires in Response to Company's Explosive Growth  

Concord, NC (November 7, 2005) – Cardinal Logistics Management Corporation (Cardinal), one of the nation’s fastest growing third-party logistics and transportation firms, today announced the addition of two new sales executives and promotion of several key management positions in direct response to the company’s continued phenomenal growth in dedicated delivery and warehousing business.

New hires at the Concord, N.C. headquartered company include: Bob Miller of Copper Canyon, TX and Lt. Colonel, Chris Landro of Kennesaw, GA. Executive management promotions at Cardinal include: Will O’Shea of Sutton, MA to Senior Vice President of Sales; Russ Marzen of Woodstock, GA to Vice President and General Manager of Warehousing and Inventory Management; Mike Wells of Fort Mill, SC to Senior Vice President of Cardinal’s Dedicated Division; and Roy Szymkowicz of Chagrin Falls, OH to Vice President of Cardinal Operations for KraftMaid.

New employees joining Cardinal Logistics Management:

  • (COPPER CANYON, TX)– Vice President of Business Development for Warehousing, Bob Miller of Copper Canyon, TX, joins Cardinal after 19 years in the logistics/transportation industry and having successfully held various jobs in sales and marketing. In his new role, Miller will be responsible for sales development in warehousing. He earned a BBA degree in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the CSCMP and WERC organizations.
  • (ATLANTA, GA) – Vice President of Business Development, Chris Landro of Kennesaw, GA, enjoys 15 years of supply chain experience, from manufacturing to retail, and came to Cardinal from The Home Depot, where he was Director of Logistics/Delivery Services. Chris earned a BS in Communications from Ohio University and is Lieutenant Colonel for the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He holds a CPIM (Certified Production & Inventory Management) from APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society). Editor’s note: Landro recently learned that his reserve unit will be deployed to Iraq in December 2005. Upon his return to the United States, Cardinal executives look forward to him returning to his role as Vice President of Business Development.

Recent executive promotions at Cardinal include:

  • (ATLANTA, GA) – Russ Marzen of Woodstock, GA, joined Cardinal in January 2004 as Vice President of KraftMaid cross dock/warehouse functions. He has been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Warehousing and Inventory Management and is primarily responsible for management of all aspects of Cardinal warehouse and cross dock operations, as well as last mile delivery/contact business from warehouse and cross dock facilities. Russ served four years of active duty in the United States Army and received a degree from Iowa State University in Business/Transportation Logistics. “It is extremely exciting to be a part of an organization that allows individual entrepreneurial ideas to be expressed and often realized into company growth,” commented Marzen.
  • (BOSTON, MA) – William O’Shea of Sutton, MA, joined Cardinal in October 2001, first as Vice President of Business Development and then as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Cardinal, William spent 13 years at Ryder Integrated Logistics in a variety of sales and operations roles. His new role as Senior Vice President of Sales will entail leading Cardinal’s sales organization in securing profitable new business in warehousing, job site and home delivery services and dedicated contract carriage. William holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, and is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). “I joined Cardinal four years ago because of their reputation of being brutally honest, having the best operators in the business and having a client base that is one-hundred percent reference-able,” said O’Shea. “These basic ingredients, along with superior technology have allowed Cardinal to grow by more than 70% over the last two years, and I am thrilled and honored to be leading Cardinal’s Business Development team.”
  • (FORT MILL, SC) – Mike Wells of Fort Mill, SC, joined Cardinal in 1997 as Operations Manager, and has held several positions leading up to his recent promotion, including Training Manager, Manager of Central Services, Region Manager and Region Vice President. His new role as Senior Vice President entails leading the Dedicated Division consisting of 50+ locations nationwide and $150m in annual revenue. Wells holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. “It’s an honor to work for such a great company – one that believes in hiring people in the business and targeting customers who are industry leaders,” said Wells.
  • Roy Szymkowicz of Chagrin Falls, OH, has been part of Team Cardinal for six years and began his tenure as Vice President of Business Development, followed by AVP for the Northern Region. His current promotion to Vice President of Operations for KraftMaid Cabinetry account entails overseeing all business with Masco Corporation. Szymkowicz holds a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. “Cardinal has a history of thrilling customers and attracting great people, and we will continue to excel and improve in each of these areas,” said Szymkowicz.
