Leading Third-Party Logistics Provider Receives Lowe’s
Gold Carrier Award for Fourth Consecutive Year; Recognized
in highest tier of all transportation carriers with on-time
percentage of 99.9% for 2004
CONCORD, N.C. (February 24,
2005) --- Officials with Cardinal Logistics Management (Cardinal) – one of the nation’s
fastest growing third-party logistics firms headquartered
in Concord, N.C. – today announced that the organization
received the “Gold Carrier Award” by Lowe’s
Home Improvement Retail stores for the fourth consecutive
year. The award was presented by Steve Palmer, Lowe’s
VP of Transportation during the Lowe’s Annual Carrier
Conference at Lowe’s headquarters in North Wilkesboro,
N.C.
The criteria on which all carriers were judged included service,
timely and accurate invoicing, and problem solving abilities.
Cardinal Logistics Management was in the highest tier of all
carriers with an on-time percentage of 99.9 percent for 2004.

The “Gold Carrier Award” is awarded to the transportation
carrier that has best demonstrated its ability to provide
consistent high levels of service, control costs, and display
the flexibility that best supports Lowe’s customers’ requirements.
Cardinal Logistics Management drivers delivered more than
16,000 loads from Lowe’s Distribution Centers to stores
in OH, MI, IN, and KY and completed those deliveries with
a 99.9% on-time delivery percentage.
Steve Palmer, Lowe’s Vice-President of Transportation
presented the award to Tim Johnson, Cardinal’s VP of
Midwest Operations, at the Lowe’s Annual Carrier Conference,
which was held at Lowe’s Headquarters in North Wilkesboro,
North Carolina. “As new stores and backhaul vendors
were added -- Cardinal’s drivers responded with pride,
integrity, and enthusiasm to provide the kind of service that
Lowe’s has come to expect,” said Scott Cahrier,
Cardinal’s Distribution Center manager in Findlay, Ohio.
