Concord, N.C. -- August 30, 2003 -- For the third consecutive
year, Cardinal Logistics Managment (Cardinal) has ranked
as one of the Top 100 third-party logistics firms (3PL’s)
in the country, according to the July 2003 issue of Inbound Logistics
Magazine.
Cardinal’s inclusion in this elite group of leading logistics
firms highlights the accomplishments of a relative newcomer to
the third-party logistics market, says President and COO, Jerry
Bowman. “At Cardinal, our #1 priority is to earn the trust
and respect of top tier customers looking for practical solutions
to streamline their logistics operations,” says Bowman. “While
doing what we do best, it’s an honor to be recognized as
a preeminent player by industry peers and readers of a leading
industry publication like Inbound Logistics.”
The magazine’s annual 3PL awards remains one of the most
encompassing studies of the 3PL market. It is not a scientific
analysis of every 3PL's capabilities. Rather, rankings are based
on nominations and votes by respondents and readers direct experience.
According to the magazine, more than 53 percent of respondents
reported working directly with 3PLs in the past year. Inbound Logistics
readers voted for their own logistics providers as well as others
they judged provided good service.
More than 2,700 usable votes were cast in the 2003 nomination
process naming more than 383 logistics providers of all scopes
and sizes. Companies that garnered the most votes were ranked among
the Top 100. Further excellence awards were given to the industry’s
Top 10. According to Inbound Logistics representatives, respondents
represented a cross-section of industries from manufacturing and
retailers to distributors, services and government (primarily military).
Cardinal has ranked in Inbound Logistics’ Top 100 listing
of 3PL’s for the past three consecutive years. In 2002, Cardinal
was named as one of the Top 10 3PL’s in the industry.
